PIERRETTE LAMBERT

Born in Montreal, Pierrette Lambert completed her studies in visual arts at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Université du Québec. In 1971, she opened a research and production studio in Montreal with two artist friends. Her artistic practice has expanded across various disciplines: painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, theater set and costume design, and jewelry.

In 1975, she completed her training in etching at UQAM. In 1978, she began working as an etcher in Vancouver, and her prints were distributed across North America by the Dimension Plus agency in Montreal. From 1986 to 1990, she continued to practice as an engraver in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In 1990, she settled in the Outaouais region of Quebec. A multidisciplinary artist, she experiments with public works, installations, assemblage sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, object-poems, poetry, artist's books, performance, video, and sets and costumes for a contemporary dance troupe.
