Venancio Arribas was born in Madrid, Spain in 1954. He began his studies of etching and engraving at the School of Applied Arts & Artistic Offices in Madrid, alternating his classes with the works of several engravings.

 His works have been shown in several Cultural Centers during the years 1979-1981, enabling him to publish a series of etchings and aquatints illustrating the text of Gregory Maranon for the Book of Toledo.

 Between1982-1986 he produced a collection of engravings 'Fields of Castille' for Hanover Publishing of the U.S. Two works on the Monastery Escorial for the National Patrimony. For the Gallery Kreisler a collection of engravings titled 'Ambito'. For the Spanish Museum he produced an interpretation of a work of Pablo Picasso.

 During the following years he participated in several art fairs & expositions; Contemporary Art Fair, Madrid 84-89, Boulevard Gallery, Gallery Grife-Escoda, Madrid. International Art Fair, Frankfurt. European Art Editions 90-92. Art Fair, Toronto. Art Expo, N.Y. Art Fair, Birmingham. Exposition Palace Madrid, Art Fair, 92-93.

 He has also been invited to participate in the following;
